Negotiations resumed today with Overwaitea/Save-On Foods. The Employer discussed in more detail the concerns they expressed in the first two days of bargaining, including the competitive landscape they are working in. The Employer provided the Union Committee more details on how this has affected the Employer’s overall operations in Overwaitea and Save On Foods stores throughout the province.
Both sides are going to spend the next few days evaluating the information that has been exchanged. The Union Bargaining committee will also continue to review the proposals submitted by members to identify the interests that will be raised at the bargaining table.
The next meeting date for both committees to meet is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, October 30.2012.
