The Norwegian Public Secot are on strike

We have not said no to NOK 20.000

Minister Rigmor Aasrud claims that we refused an offer of NOK 20.000 wage increase when we started the strike. This is a very creative use of numbers.

We are on strike because

  • Large groups of our members would get NOK 9- 10.000 if we accepted the offer from the state. This is considerely less than other agreements in this years wage settlements
  • The employers calculation is abuse of numbers - The offer of NOK 20.000 is only real for a few members
  • Our claim is to have a just profile, securing real wage increase for everybody, not just for a few
  • We claimed higher compensation for shift and weekend work as we believe that they who work late hours and in the night should have a fair compensation. We never received an answer on this claim

The employer is soon alone thinking that the offer they made would give us a fair wage settlement

That is why we are on strike
