Welcome to the Social Network Unionism blog!
This blog has been created in order to develop a sound definition of SNU, and promote the concept as it is developed.
The first and only refecence to the concept “social network unionism” has been made in an online (English language) source is the one I gave link below. It is a book written by Immanuel Ness, where he does not give any explicit definition for the concept:

Based on a discussion has taken place in online social network for trade unionists, UnionBook, we have decided to create a blog where the work to define the concept can be focused.
There are highly related concepts to SNU, such as new media, web 2.0, cyber unions, labour networking, social union networking, social movement unionism, union renewal, reinvention of labour, labour rewitalisation.
And the Blog is aimed at as an open, collective work place/atelier, or discussion space, next to the previous Unionbook group with the hope that delivered SNU concept can bear a potential for union and labour movements. So it can controbute to them move forward into the 21st Century with stronger steps and overcome the oligarchy of state elite and capital within this century.
