  One Day National Seminar was organized by Pakistan Labour Federation (PLF) with the Collaboration of World Asian Workers Organization (WAWO) UK at Hotel; Ambassador Lahore Pakistan on 18th  August,2012 The Seminar was presided by Mr Naveed Ch Advisor to President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan   Mrs Bushra Malik Ad visor to Governor Punjab on Human Rights was the Chief Guest
Haji Muhammad Saeed Arian Founder/Secretary General welcomed the Participants and said that  in All over the World  we witnessed the uprisings to protest against injustice .Economical Crises, Poverty Unemployment, Privatization/Globalization., the workers are protesting against the socioeconomic disparities which are due to the present system of Economic Structure. In this movement most Workers Organization are participating in all over the World to protect the basic Rights of Child. He said that  the main cause of increasing child Labour is poverty and unemployment   He said that  the Annual Conference of the ILO is taking place under conditions of deep crisis of the capitalist system. A deep crisis affecting all levels of all fields: the economy, the political, the cultural life, the environment Mrs Bushra Malik Said that the overall scenario is that Workers are suffering the economic injustices, social inequalities and political marginalization and to face the consequences of Poverty.  She appeal to all Workers Organization to give due importance for the protection of the Children Basic Rights and if we thinking globally we can change the World. She said that Peoples are the best agents for Social Change and the Progress is only possible through working together Muhammad Amin Bhatti President  demanded  that Children should be protected from all forms of violence and as Trade Unionist we shall protect the Child against all forms of Exploitation. Mrs Atia Saleem, Chairperson  Said that don't sacrifice children at the alter of harmful traditional practices and for the brighten future of Children we should provide Free Education for the Children  Waheed Ahmad Ch Advocate said that every Child must Enjoy a Life Free of Child Labour and Violence He said that A World in Which Children are valued and empowered and their Rights should be protected and promoted, Ms Rizwana Yasmeen Advocate said that Children are future of any Nation and the Child Labour is denial of Child Basic Rights she demanded the Government to stop the Child Labour and secure child,s future.Mr Naveed Ch Said that the Trade Unions can play their positive role and ensure the Children rights should be respected and to stop child domestic Labour.He said that Child Labour Can not be eliminated and abolish with out Free and Compulsory Education.He appreciated the (PLF)(WAWO) for providing Free Education in Pakistan.He said that every child has equal Rights regardless of his Colour, race and Religion He said that Ministry for the protection and promotion of Rights of Children may be constituted very soon. Government recognizes child labor as an issue that requires state intervention. Measures at combating this practice will include continued work on reviewing existing Legislation concerning the Rights and welfare of children by the National Commission for Child Welfare and Development;  promulgation of the amended Ordinance on Juvenile Justice;  Establishment of Child Labor Schools by Ministry of Social Welfare, through the Pakistan Bait ul Maal, where child workers are given suitable education leading to their rehabilitation; and  the preparation of a plan of action to combat child abuse and the commercial sexual exploitation of children by the National Commission for Child Welfare and Development  and Save the Children in conjunction with respective provincial committees and Trade Unions.
