(PLF) demanded the Government of Indonesia to stop the privatization of Water Supply in Jakarata

on behalf of the Executive Board of Pakistan Labour Federation (PLF) we are fully supporting the Jakarta Water Union and their members those are arranging   two days demonstration on 18 and 19 July in Jakarta for the increase of their wages and stop the Privatization.

we also demanded to  increases the Wages and improving the working conditions. and stop the privatization because  Privatization has led to a deterioration of working conditions and water quality. The workers have not received a salary increase since 2003. The workers are also asking that health and other benefits be increased to cover current needs. Previously, employees received a clothing/uniform allowance each year, but since 2006 this practice has stopped, with out any reasons.  We there fore demanded to start negotiation  with the management.
