(PLF)Apprecaited the COSATU Statement on the Tragic Events in Marikana South Africa

(PLF) Appreciated the COSATU statement on The Tragic Events In Marikana.

United We Rise      Divided We Fall

on behalf of the Executive Board of Pakistan Labour Federation (PLF) we are appreciating the COSATU statement  to express their shock and dismay on the lost of  many lives. We on behalf of the (PLF)  presented  our heartfelt condolences to the AFamilies perished in the tragic events in Marikana.  On behalf of (PLF) we also send our best wishes to the 78 people who were injured and hope that they recover as quickly as possible. We also express our solidarity to all other workers who have been killed in senseless violence since February 2012. We also appreciated the COSATU statement in which they said that they are not  playing  the blame-game with the anger workers and their communities. (PLF) also protested the use of rubber bullets on unarmed protesters.

The Mines workers are working in  most dangerous conditions in high temperatures, in damp and poorly ventilated areas where rocks fall daily, killing many and condemning others to a life in a wheelchair and the loss of limbs. Some families have never even had the chance to bury their breadwinners, whose bones remain buried underground. we appeal to the Government that they should provided safety equipment

We welcome the fact that the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is already taking up the RDOs’ claim, with comparable demands for other workers in the industry, whose wages are equally pathetic, and whose living conditions are also still squalid and lacking in basic services. we believe that  Our enemy is not ourselves or some amongst ourselves  our enemy remains the capitalist system that exploits workers and robs them of the social surplus. Today The conditions of Mine and Construction workers not in South Africa but all other part of the World are very miserable, poor and their wages are very low and their life’s always in danger, and no respect for their human dignity, health and safety Rules are not observed

Well sir you do a disservice both to the miners in South Africa and to your own Pakistani workers who are victims of both the local landlord class and the US imperialists, by excusing the gross opportunism and treachery of the COSATU leadership. They have blood on their hands for justifying the the ANC approved police actions and covering up for the mine owners and their finance capitalist allies. Death to the new SA fascists!
