Make LGBT are fully visible, accepted and valued in the workplace and in society.
With this statement in mind I opened a new UnionBook group: UnionBook LGBT .
A clear message emerges that many LGBT trade union members feel that they have not achieved the necessary recognition of the specific nature of LGBT in the workplace, union or society. Therefore, can be summarised as the importance for trade unions, as a part of their continued commitment to achieving equality for all their members and that unions need to plan the steps needed to make the LGBT truly inclusive of all four: lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and trans people.
To support the Trade Unions It is our duty to help them direct from the workplace with exchanging experiences and “best practice” we can deliver from our daily experience. In that way we help not only the unions to make a policy but we can give support to those who are still not recognize their own LGBT or more worse the denial or conceal of their gender.
But the most important set out for this group UnionBook LGBT is to activate all LGBT union members and their supporters to be visible in their environment as Proud LGBT. They can show others the right way by relying on their own experience, stressed the importance of challenging misguided stereotypes of LGBT and break up the obstacles that is needed. No more harassment or exclusion by gender.
