Strike - State sector, Norway

We did not say no to NOK 20.000

Minister Rigmor Aasrud claims that we refused an offer of NOK 20.000 wage increase when we started the strike. This is very creative use of numbers.

We are on strike because

• Large groups of our members would get NOK 9- 10.000 if we accepted the offer from the state. This is considerably less than other agreements in this year’s wage settlements

• The employers calculation is abuse of numbers – Only few of our members will get NOK 20.000

• Our claim is to have a just profile, secure real wage increase for everybody, not just for few

• We claimed higher compensation for shift and weekend hours, as we believe that they who work late hours and in the night should have a fair compensation. Our employer did not respond to this

The employer is soon alone thinking that the offer they made, would give us a fair wage settlement
