Food co-op votes to boycott Coke products and humus brand because of labor abuses

Last night, the Park Slope Food Coop in Brooklyn, NY, for the third time, overwhelmingly voted to continue its support for the boycott of Coca-Cola products. The co-op had carried Minute Maid juices and Odwalla juice until the first 2004 resolution. http://www.KillerCoke.org

We also voted overwhelmingly to boycott Flaum's products (Brooklyn, NY company) which includes Sonny & Joe's humus. The company has been guilty of labor abuses according to a National Labor Relations Board decision, but the company has ignored the NLRB decision. http://www.brandworkers.org/en/node/101145
