No-Coca-Cola Holiday Parties

I went to two parties this past week which were Coke-Free -- "No Coca-Cola". The first was Vets for Peace Chapter 34 in New York City. The vets were Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan vets who have came to hate war. The invite to the party stated that it was "Alcohol-Free and Coca-Cola-Free." Thanks Vets.

"Coca-Cola in the Philippines"

Dear Brothers & Sisters:



The Campaign to Stop Killer Coke recently received an email notifying us of new website from "Coca-Cola in the Philippines." The site discusses Coke's corrupt practices and precarious labor in the bottling plants of the Philippines. They are asking Coca-Cola workers to participate in a discussion of Coke's abuses:

"The Coca-Cola Case' wins the 2010 CLiFF Best in Festival award!

We were happy to hear on Union Book from Canadian sister, Lorie King, that "The Coca-Cola Case," a film about the labor and human rights abuses of Coca-Cola workers in Colombia won best film in the Canadian Labour International Film Festival.
