Labor activists trying to understand AFL-CIO foreign policy

Last December (2010), I published an article titled "Why Labor Imperialism?  AFL-CIO's Foreign Policy Leaders and the Developing World" in Working USA.  This article theorizes the concept of "labor imperialism":  it has now been made available for free at http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1743-4580.2010.00306.x/pdf .

(PLF) Condemned the action of Fiji Government against the Trade Union Leaders

on behalf of the Executive Board of Pakistan Labour Federation (PLF) we condemned the action of The Fiji government for the prevention of Mr  Felix Anthony, the National secretary of the Fiji Trades Union Congress (FTUC) from attending meetings of the ILO and also imposed a ban preventing him from attending the 15th ARPM meeting . we therefore  demanded that these restrictions be removed immediately.

The Government of Fiji restore the registrations  all Trade Unions.

A new Society Free of Exploition of Man by Man

The WFTU path is completely different, it is anti IMF, anti WB, anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, anti-monopoly.  The WFTU path includes the fight to build a new international order, a new society, free of exploitation of man by man, free of policies based on profits for few in detriment of broader masses and based on the policy “Peoples first”.
