Workers Memorial Day Today

Today was workers memorial day in Britain* I attended my local memorial service. Sadly due to the sea faring and heavy industry our list of deceased was long. In attendence were the local Labour Party, some LibDems, most active Unions, mainly UNITE and ASLEF. The service was religious but vaguely so and focussed on the aspects of the bible considered most supportive of workers rights.We remember those literally killed by their work.…See More

Urgent Appeal for FSRN

Hello everyone, as I'm sure you're all aware much of the media around the globe is incredibly anti Union and anti workers rights. With the notable exceptions of independent and alternative outlets whenever there's a strike or a campaign the coverage will be very negative. Given how important workers organisations are to billions world wide its important that we don't allow ourselves to get overwhelmed by the media's negative bias.
