South Korea labor movement fought against FTA between Korea and USA 3 years ago. At that time we couldn't stop bargaining of FTA, even if Korea labor movement did as much as we could do. Now we face how to stop ratifying in Assembly. However nowadays Korean labor movement have many issues of struggle, one of most important matter is precarious workers issue. Do you konw what's happening in Hyundai motors. There are more than 1,000 precarious workers fighting right now. One of workers was fired himself and he is serious condition now.
Therefore now we can't respond to FTA directly, but we will fight continuously. I will post news of how to respond to FTA.
Have a nice day.

Hi Peter:

I'm in VT right now although I'm from Brooklyn, NY. We'll have a new KillerCoke.org site up by the end of the month. I'd recommend a new book by Boston writer Michael Blanding, "The Coke Machine." Really good an give a rundown on why Coca-Cola is such a dangerous corporation for people throughout the world -- they're involved in labor, human rights and environmental abuses -- and Michael covers most of them.
