Teachers strike in Chicago

Folks--We're in a major battle in Chicago, where 26,000 teachers are taking on the Mayor and the Chicago Public School system.  It's really a fight to preserve public eduction in our city.  Teachers have already been out for three days, and the strike will probably continue at least til next week.  For excellent news about the strike, and the struggles around public education, please check out www.substancenews.net .  The parents of the school children…See More

Solidarity Needed--US West Coast dockworkers
