Thanks for the invite. I have still to check out your music but from what I have seen it looks pretty good. I will check out your web site.
If you are interested in Australian labour movement music I have a friend who works for a trade union museum in Sydney. He also works as a stage manager for music shows and has travelled and collected union badges around the world.
I am an old painter/decorator/labourer/printworker/office worker. I now collect trade union badges and am particularly after African trade union badges as they are under represented in all displays and collections | have seen.
I have also just discovered Otha Turner and Sharde Thomas so that will tell you something about my musical tastes.

Well, we'd love to see you out here sometime, John. I went to your website and I love what you are doing with Flames of Discontent! Do you know George Mann? I helped organize a house concert last time he came through Eugene. Quite a guy and a good writer.

If interested, you can check out some of our other songs at: www.myspace.com/lowtidedrifters. We're going to be recording a full-length album this winter, tentatively titled "Broken Bootstraps."

Hi John: Always love to connect with cultural workers. Actually, my son is a Indie rock/pop producer and his studio is in our basement and cellar. He works with great young folks. In what Brooklyn community are you?

I am a staff member with Corporate Campaign, Inc. Our office is in DUMBO and we work on the Campaign to Stop Killer Coke, FLOC (trying to organize tobacco harvesters in RJ Reynolds in NC) and IBEW Local 103 (against pharmaceutical companies).

I was also an reformer within the United Federation of Teachers and was elected to the Executive Board.

Happy to meet you, Brother.
