I hope we are watching and learning from the French workers and students - next week the enemy of workers here will embark on a total assault on the welfare state, they will blame new labour and offer no alternative and try to create a sense of 'all in it together' relying on our inability to produce mass protests - we must prove them wrong or we live with the consequences for a generation or more. Oh and planning a march for next year is simply not enough.See More

I hope we are watching and learning from the French workers and students - next week the enemy of workers here will embark on a total assault on the welfare state, they will blame new labour and offer no alternative and try to create a sense of 'all in it together' relying on our inability to produce mass protests - we must prove them wrong or we live with the consequences for a generation or more.
