Comment by Andy Funnell on September 17, 2011 at 13:50 I think this is one of the most moving pictures I've ever seen. I'm just a working man, but no doubt like many others on UnionBook, I would willingly take these children (or others like them) into my home and protect them as much as I could. But HOW? This disgusting globalized capitalist system that rules our lives is not only the cause of their suffrance, it prevents us from helping them. Worse, it encourages us to continue exploiting their parents, if not the children themselves. We need to kick the asses of our global union federations and get them setting up funds to help build unions in these "developing countries" to fight the globalized companies blatantly exploiting the poorest and the most vulnerable inhabitants of this world. How can we live, hoping to never look these children in the eyes? Most "rich" countries have fiscal policies allowing tax payers to deduct aid to registered charities. Why aren't our GUFs using that possibility? I'd just like to know...
