About me

I just finished 12 years in an auto assembly factory.  While at the factory I completed a couple of degrees with the Labour Studies department at McMaster University.  Taking time away from the factory to study led to much time for union, anti-poverty, anti-war, anti-imperialist, counter-globalization activism.  This also led to many chances to teach with the Canadian Auto Workers union and the local city college.  I participated in the pilot year of the Global Labour University in 04/05.  The internship portion of this programme was spent at the International Metalworkers' Federation in Geneva.  I completed some research on the usefulness of the Framework Agreements signed by the Global Union Federations.  I'm enjoying a break from full-time paid work and spending time with my four year old daughter.
