A weekend of workshops, discussions, music, food and fun for wobblies and supporters both near and far

Fellow Workers,

We are pleased to announce that the registration website for Wobfest 2010 is now available at http://wobfest.iww.org . (Thanks to FW Walt Weber for helping to set this up.) This website allows you to request housing and inform us of any other needs you have. It also gives you the opportunity to pay your registration fee online using your credit card or Paypal account and thereby save $5. You can also find the latest version of the event schedule on this website.

FRIDAY, MARCH 26:

3:00-7:00 PM: Registration and wobbly film marathon at Baltimore Free School (1323 N. Calvert. St)

7:00pm - 10:00pm critical mass bike ride     
Washington Monument (Charles and Monument Streets)

 

SATURDAY, MARCH 27

Morning/Afternoon (at 2640 St. Paul Street)

9:00      Breakfast & Intro

10:00    i. ISC - Palestine delegation report-back (Clark room)

ii. Red Emma's - facilitation & consensus (Sunday room)

11:30    Lunch

12:30    i. United Workers - leadership development (Clark room)

ii. Dan Gross - labor law (Sunday room)

2:00     Gender Justice Collective - anti-oppression training incl. trans 101 (Clark room)

4:30      John Duda - Spokane free speech fight (1 hour)

5:30      Dinner/Roundtable Discussion (Clark room)

(Food will be served on Saturday)

Saturday Evening: Music (Zodicac: 1726 N. Charles St.)

-Featuring:

Rustbelt Ramblers, Ray Owen, Aryeh Gonif, Comrade, Bean, Jasaga of R.A.M. (Radical Artist Movement)

-Music will start around 8:00 PM and last until 1:00 or 2:00 AM.
-Between sets, there will be a labor history trivia game
-The show is free for all Wobfest registrants, $5-10 for the general public
-This show is 18+

SUNDAY, MARCH 28:

Festivities and informal breakout meetings at Red Clover House. (Address will be provided the day before.)

11:00 AM:

i. Music and casual comraderie (downstairs)

ii. Informal breakout meetings (upstairs) 

[This is the perfect time to meet with other wobblies in your Industrial Union, organizing campaign, committe, caucus or special project. A flip chart will be present where attendees can schedule in their meetings or mini-workshops.]

iii. Puppet-making workshop with Mike McGwuire (shed)
(learn how to make giant puppets that will be used in upcoming labor mobilizations!)

2:00 PM: Barbecue!

6:00 PM: Wobfest ends

(Food will be served on Sunday)
