I was pleased to see a large group of posties picketing outside Shirley delivery office this morning. Good on them for actually standing up for their rights and not letting the corporate greed of management walk all over them. They are sacrificing a day's pay in the interest of protecting their jobs and the great institution that is Royal Mail.

On a less positive note, I am really incensed by some (no, make that pretty much all) of the things Nick Griffin said on the BBC. I didn't actually watch it but I have read about it. I do agree with the BBC's stance that they have to let all parties have their say and hopefully Griffin's outdated, racist and homophobic broadcast has done the BNP more harm than good as people will realise that there is no place for such a right-wing political party that has no policies other than hatred for certain groups.
