what works for you 2 Replies

UTE has quite a collection of 'swag', but I would like to hear from others as to what works and what doesn't beyond the usual t-shirts and pens. SueContinue

Janet, if it is any concillation I received the same spam from Jenifer Hagge from about ten groups I subscribe to.  Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a facility on unionbook to report abuses of the system.

Why did I get that SPAM about iPod Touch this morning? It was extremely annoying and I didn't sign up for this site to get that.

If you are in the US and need help finding union made and union embellished swag, please check out www.ethixmerch.com. Our mission is to support organized workers by driving clients to these factories- it's way easier to do this when our clients are unions and "get" that labor is important!

We also have organic/recycled/eco products, because we care about the planet, too. Our favorite is when union made products go green, which really captures the blue-green movement :)

Espen mentions his union-badged undies in his comment below. I have a pair of same and think they're a great idea, but he is right: exposure is limited. lol

Reuseable shopping bags are apparently very popular I am told.

For construction workers, fingerless gloves with the union logo would be cool.

Whatever our members like and is visible to others, especially at the workplace. I prefer t-shirts and jackets, but they have to be nice so that they are not only used for painting the house. Umbrellas are ok as well. The swag are made to market the union!
My union made undies, which is funny, but only my wife sees them :-)

For Branch activists Bomber Jackets, winter caps and banner are handy. Coffee mugs are good for any one. Brief cases and foulders are useful for work place UNION reps etc!
