UnionBook

The social network for trade unionists - a LabourStart project.

Am I the only one suffering from a mauve background surround that makes it almost impossible to see printing on it that is in blue or black.  The only way I can read it is by dragging my cursor over it to highlight it.  Can I change this myself if so how?

Nope, not the only one.

Is this a gesture to feminism and The Colour Purple? If so, this could surely be done in terms of content rather than colour.

Not much help out there on the silly problem of blue on mauve back, perhaps many don't even know there is any blue writing on the mauve background.
It put me off coming back for ages and might make me leave again! Ghastly, ghastly colour scheme. Hopefully the powers that be will change things (and the serif font too!)

Yes it put me off to, as an ex-painter I agree it's a ghastly colour scheme but worse is the fact that this colour scheme possible breaks the UK Disability Discrimination Law.  That this can be done without any action being taken to correct the matter by a "UnionBook The social network for trade unionists" seems absolutely disgraceful.  Why as this matter not been address it makes the whole thing hypercritical.  How can we condemn organisation for wrongful discrimination practices when we turn a blind eye (no pun intended) to this colour scheme that requires those with poorer vision to highlight it to distinguish typing from background.
