The Brantford and District Labour Council (BDLC) In conjunction with the, Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL), Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and the Brantford Strike Action Coalition. We would like to announce the “2 Years is 2 Long! – 3 Day Solidarity Rally. This sustained mass 3 day - 72 hour solidarity rally of unions, activists and political allies is in support of USW 1-500 Strikers at Engineered Coated Products in Brantford Ontario . Our 3 days will be spent demanding that ECP return to the bargaining table and building solidarity for Anti Scab Legislation in Ontario . Highlighting how a lack of legislation can lead to what amounts to “Legal Discrimination” against the Brantford workers and those in 4 other disputes in Ontario that are facing the use of scab labour . Respect in British Columbia and total contempt in Ontario . The Liberal and Conservatives have the power to end these attacks the question is do they have the political will and courage to support Bill 45 (replacement workers )
