Two points:
1. Take heart from little Switzerland. This week the Parliament voted down the government proposal to completely
Iberalise theostal market by 102 votes to 82. Post will keep the 50gram monopoly to pay for universal service. Communications Union continues it's campaign to have a referendum to maintain a postal network throughout the country. If Swiss can keep it's Post Office so can UK.
2. Spent last week touring mid/west Wales. Shocked at the number of ex post offices. Post offices now hidden away at the back of shops. We must keep the Royal Mail public but also make sure the public service is accessible to everyone. Stop the office closures and down grading
