UnionBook

The social network for trade unionists - a LabourStart project.

Public Services International sends a renewed message of solidarity to US workers including our many PSI affiliate members in America. On this 43rd anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, we join with people gathering together in over 1000 solidarity events across the globe today to say the attacks on public services and the rights of public service workers in America must stop.

In South Korea public service workers also support PSI action for public service workers of USA. Anyone can't have right to eleminate the rights of public service workers. Even governer can't do that. It should be stopped as soon as possible. Korean public service workers now also fight against government policy which always take out the right to collective bargainning, the right to collective action and strike. Govenment workers union isn't recognized by govenment. President Lee Myung-bak's government ignore the labor law and ILO recomendation. If we will have opportunity to fight together with USA's public service workers, we are happy to do anything.

thanks Chris for sharing
I fully support America public workers struggle. Government of USA must stop attacking on public services and workers. If American goverment wouldn't stop attacking, government will face members of PSI struggle including South Korea public workers.
