UnionBook

The social network for trade unionists - a LabourStart project.

The ultra-conservative norwegian political party The Progress Party (Fremskrittspartiet), want to ruin workers rights, by removing the laws for paid overtime, how long pauses we shall have and no pauses before it have gone 6 hours of the working day. We also have to work 13 hours. WIth the parliament election in 2 years this party may come to power in an alliance with the Conservative Party. In Norway there is no Syndicalist Union like IWW or CNT etc., only the social democratic Union (LO) and some bourgeois unions. Do they have balls to fight this or do they come up with an agreement as they usually do?
