A clarification

UnionBook is a space for trade unionists to post their own content, and we do not censor.

In all the years UnionBook has been around, we've deleted no content nor banned anyone from posting anything.  No topic is off-limits.

Anyone who spends more than a minute on the site will realize this.

Participants in UnionBook are free to post what they want.

However, earlier this week one participant posted an unprovoked and deeply personal attack which we felt was inappropriate.

That person was temporarily suspended from membership in UnionBook.  We are currently in discussions with him about how to restore his membership.

Nothing which he posted over the last few years has been deleted and he is free to express his views, as are all of us.

If you have any questions at all about what has happened, please email Eric Lee.

Thanks for understanding.

Industrial Workers of the World

The working class and the employing class have nothing in common. There can be no peace so long as hunger and want are found among millions of the working people and the few, who make up the employing class, have all the good things of life.

I support Peter Waterman and his battle against arbitrary suspension by Eric Lee

Friends--For some reason--as far as I know unstated, but I can guess--Eric has suspended Peter from Union Book.I am appalled at Eric's actions:  Eric himself would be up in arms if someone had treated him the way he has treated Peter.I have no problem with Eric disagreeing with Peter--as Peter will attest, he and I have "gone around" on numerous occasions.  But suspending Peter is beyond acceptance:  if nothing else, it violates the democracy on which most if not all of us would argue MUST be…See More
